Circular Rail, runs from Tala Bridge in North Calcutta to Majher Hat in South Calcutta. It could manage to run on the on the surface ( unlike the Metro Rail which is underground ) on single line railway, meaning one train goes up and down which causes low frequency. Unlike other local train services run by electricity , it runs on diesel engine and looks like long distance trains. Most of the track follows the bank of river Ganges.
