Academy of Fine Arts, located between Rabindra Sadan and St. Paul's Church ( opposite to Victoria Memorial Hall). Established in 1933.  As the name implies, it is a place for arts show/workshop/exhibition. Has one auditorium  where group theatre shows and classical dance performances take place.Akashbani Bhawan, located adjacent to Eden Gardens Stadium. It is the All India Radio station. The studio carries memories of star Bengali performers who were used to perform in radio during the golden age of this media. Needs permission to go inside and see the studio. Sreeram Arcade, air conditioned modern style market, opposite to New Empire and Lighthouse cinema halls and next to New market. These kinds of marketing complexes are emerging in different places in the city.
West Bengal Bengali Academy. Research on the language of Bengali goes on here. Located behind Nandan theatre next to Rabindra SadanMost commonly used buses in Calcutta. These types of buses are visible throughout the city. There are other types like, mini bus, state run bus, long distance bus etc. These buses are privately owned and the body is made of wood and aluminium . They have two doors, two ticket collectors ( conductors) and reserved seats for ladies and elderly people.University of Calcutta, College Street campus. This location has the main administrative office. Some masters degree courses are offered here. This campus is located in a very packed area in central Calcutta with not really much of space and greenery , as it may seem from this picture. The place claims memories and traditions of the city intellectuals.
Circular Rail, runs from Tala Bridge in North Calcutta to Majher Hat in South Calcutta. It could manage to run on the  on the surface ( unlike the Metro Rail which is underground ) on single line railway, meaning one train goes up and down which causes low frequency. Unlike other local train services run by electricity , it runs on diesel engine and looks like long distance trains. Most of the track follows the bank of river Ganges.Water polo in the swimming pool at College Square on College Street. One of oldest public swimming pools. Has a swimming club. One of the rare places in Calcutta for aquatic sport lovers.Footpath of college street. Famous for book sellers, specially old and used books. Once used to be a place where intellectual geniuses of the city strolled on the footpath looking for some rare collections .  Though crowded heavily, still attracts book worms
